This project introduces an intelligent plastic sensing bin system for automated waste detection, classification, sorting, and compaction to enhance sustainable waste management. Using a YOLOv11 vision model, it achieves 0.801 mAP across five waste types, while a ToF sensor with SVC (RBF kernel) classifies plastics (PET, HDPE, LDPE) with 96% accuracy. A 700N actuator compacts waste, and a servo-based mechanism sorts materials. A React Native app with Firebase backend provides real-time updates, gamified user feedback, and QR-based tracking. The system supports SDGs 11, 12, 14, and 15, offering a scalable, data-driven solution for efficient, eco-friendly recycling automation.
