ValBOOM! is an innovative educational project developed by 14-year-old student Rayyan Naufal bin Khairul Nizar from MRSM Tun Ghazali Shafie. It integrates science, history, and sustainability to create an interactive learning experience that demonstrates the connections between volcanic eruptions, mass extinctions, and biodiversity recovery. Through hands-on simulations using simple materials, ValBOOM! transforms abstract scientific concepts into engaging, real-world lessons. The project aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)—specifically Quality Education (SDG 4), Climate Action (SDG 13), and Life on Land (SDG 15)—empowering learners to explore Earth’s dynamic processes and inspiring responsible environmental stewardship.
