Drowning remains one of the leading causes of accidental death in aquatic environments, particularly among children, tourists, and individuals with limited swimming ability. Despite the availability of safety equipment such as life jackets and flotation devices, many are reluctant to use them due to discomfort, bulkiness, or inconvenience. This gap in practical safety solutions inspired the development of the SwiftFloat Manual Inflation System (SFMIS), a smart swimsuit designed to provide immediate emergency support while maintaining comfort and mobility during regular use.The SwiftFloat Manual Inflation System (SFMIS) integrates multiple life-saving features into a single wearable garment. When the emergency cord is pulled, inflatable components located at the arms expand automatically to function as flotation aids. The suit is also equipped with a high-intensity LED light to enhance visibility during low-light conditions, a built-in alarm system to alert nearby individuals, and a GPS tracker to accurately locate the user in real time. These components are embedded within lightweight, waterproof materials that ensure ease of movement and user comfort. The objective of this innovation is to reduce the risk of drowning by offering a responsive, user-friendly safety solution that does not compromise style or comfort. Materials used include water-resistant fabric, pressure sensors, microcontrollers, and rechargeable power sources. The development process involved integrating electronic components into the suit’s design while preserving its flexibility and durability. What sets this product apart is its seamless combination of flotation, alert, and tracking systems in a single, unobtrusive garment, an approach not found in conventional swimwear. The innovation is highly applicable in recreational water activities, water sports, and tourism sectors. Its commercial value lies in its appeal to safety-conscious consumers, resorts, and water-based activity providers. The impact of this innovation is substantial: it enhances personal safety, reduces emergency response time, and promotes awareness of water safety. With increasing global interest in wearable technology and smart textiles, the SwiftFloat Manual Inflation System (SFMIS) holds strong potential for commercialization both locally and internationally.
